    Do you know when the Art of Animation Resort start taking reserv. for the regular rooms (not family suite)? We would love to stay here on our next Disney vacation in Oct 2012, but the family suites are to large and expensive for a family of 3. Thanks!!

    Hi Dixie,

    I recently researched this exact question for a friend of mine. I spoke with several different Cast Members in Guest Relations and Reservations and was informed of the following (please note that this is subject to change):

    Right now the suites are the only rooms available to be booked. The Resort is opening in 4 stages.

    Finding Nemo will open in May,

    Cars will open in July

    Lion King will open in September

    Little Mermaid will open in December

    The entire Art of Animation Resort will be open by December 2012. I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates regarding the Art of Animation Resort.
