Hi, I know Arial's Grotto is now gone do you know what will be taking it's place? & when will that open if it hasn't yet opened? I know that there's a princess character dining at Napa but it is more pricey, any others? thnx

    A royal hello, Sobeyda!

That’s right, Ariel’s Grotto closed in the formerly-named Paradise Pier in January of 2018, and reopened in the newly re-imagined Pixar Pier as Lamplight Lounge in June of 2018. While Ariel’s Grotto was a Character dining experience with Disney Princesses, Lamplight Lounge is a restaurant that celebrates the creativity and inspiration of the artists that bring Pixar tales to life.

The Disneyland Resort offers four Character dining experiences, including my favorite, Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park! If you’re specifically looking for Character dining with Disney Princesses, the only option currently available is Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, featured at Napa Rose, inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. As you mentioned, it’s on the pricier side, but I think it’s a great way to celebrate a special occasion. From the three-course breakfast to the personal interactions, this unique experience is something you'll never forget!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
