Welcome to planDisney, Rachel! I’m so glad you stopped by to ask your question. It’s always a pleasure to chat with a fellow
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. It’s like we’re part of the most magical club on earth, huh? Well, let’s get into it. Pixie dust away!
So, here’s the stitch: Yes, the current AP rule on
park reservations is that guests with a valid pass can enter the theme parks after 2pm with a few exceptions, like Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as any special dates or updates Disney may add to the calendar. That being said, on dates that your pass is blocked out, then unfortunately, no park entry is granted on those days. Think of it as one of those days when your pass simply is not eligible for theme park entry, regardless of the time of day.
My best tip is to take a look at your
Passholder Admission Calendar before your visit so there are no surprises. While you are there, it is also a great idea to keep an eye on the Good-to-Go days that Disney has been adding, since those can be a very happy planning bonus!
You can take a look at your specific pass admission calendar by
logging into your My Disney Experience account to view the current availability calendars. That will show you if your pass is open and, if so, which parks have reservation availability so you can plan accordingly.
Don't forget there is so much to do outside of the theme parks while you are visiting! You can plan a day of magical shopping and dining at
Disney Springs, explore the resort hotels, pop by
Disney's BoardWalk to take in the ambiance, play a round of
mini golf, and so much more! It truly is a whole wide world of magic waiting to be explored.
I hope this helped answer your question! If you need any more tips or planning advice, maybe on how to make the most of
all the benefits that come with your AP, be sure to come back and see us!
Wishing you a magical day,
Emille
