    I know $ ? can be ambiguous but I need help!We returned from a 2wk trip@POFQ 2ad 2k 1infant Dec1-14.$5000MYW w/free dining&air.Trying to plan for next trip(yay!)same time-ish&its coming come back almost same price as our 2 wks?what am I doing wrong

    Hi Brandy,

Wow, you really know how to get a good deal!  $5,000 for resort stay, park passes, dining and airfare from California for a family of five is AWESOME!  I'll call you before I plan my next Disney vacation.

So this trip that you're planning, are you staying for less than 2 weeks?  I'm not really sure why the price would be almost the same except that I don't think FREE dining is being offered right now for that time yet (at least I haven't seen it).  Did you plan last year's trip at the same time?  Also, the longer you stay, the cheaper the Magic Your Way Tickets become.

Another thing to check is the type of tickets you're purchasing.  Park Hopper Tickets are quite a bit more.  Also, be careful not to check the no expiration option; those cost more as well.

Hopefully, this will help get you started in solving the mystery (although you sound like a savvy traveler who as already explored these possibilities).  Feel free to send a follow up message with some more information, and maybe we can figure it out, together.

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
