Hi Paulina, and welcome to planDisney! With a question like this, I've got to imagine I'm speaking to a fellow rope-drop-to-closing aficionado. I can definitely appreciate the need to pace yourself during a long day at the Disneyland Resort.
Let me start by saying - why walk all the way back to your car when there is a perfectly comfy power nap opportunity while watching
The Disneyland Story: Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln?! I kid, of course. I actually love this show...plus the 15-minute run time would make for a pretty quick nap!
I did call the
Guest Info line for your question, just to make sure I was giving you the correct information, and the Cast Member assured me that you are perfectly welcome to take an afternoon nap in your car in a
Disneyland Resort parking structure. There are no rules against this. In fact, she mentioned she has taken her 4-year-old back to her car for a quick mid-afternoon nap break as well!
I will say, though, that these parking structures are often pretty loud and can get pretty warm. If you're able to swing it, it would be far more relaxing to enjoy a cozy bed in one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels or
Good Neighbor Hotels nearby.
If you just need some midday downtime, my two favorite places to relax are the lobby of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel (try the rocking chairs near the fireplace!) or taking the grand circle tour all the way around the park on the Disneyland Railroad. Grab your favorite snack and drink (like the
Violet Pretzel and Sparkling Grape drink for the Disney100 celebration from
Refreshment Corner), pick one of these two spots, and you'll be ready to tackle the parks for the rest of the day!
I hope you enjoy your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Paulina! As you continue to plan, come back to see us here at planDisney if you think of any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
