Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Angela!
You are counting down the DAYS to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I’m SO excited for you! The decorations are up in Magic Kingdom Park and all around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs, the elves are decking the halls, baking the holiday treats, and making all the preparations for another
merry and magical holiday season.
Queen Elsa has even used her powers to light up Cinderella Castle with ice and snow!
I love being on the
Disney Dining Plan, and character dining and buffets are a great way to use your Table-Service entitlements. The addition of select specialty beverages and, for Guests 21 and older, alcoholic drinks, to the Disney Dining Plan is a great one and really adds value. My husband and I love saying “chEARs” as we try new cocktails and drinks with our meals.
I’m happy to confirm that Guests 21 and older should be able to add eligible alcoholic drinks, such as wine, beer, and cocktails, to their buffet dining experience when on the Disney Dining Plan. I've had a mimosa at
Tusker House Restaurant, a cocktail with dinner at
1900 Park Fare, and I always add the Lapu Lapu to my
'Ohana meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner – hey, I’m on vacation!). Keep in mind that some items are not eligible, but your server will work with you to ensure you’re choosing something that is included. On the Disney Dining Plan, I ordered a Lapu Lapu and was told that it would cost an additional few dollars to have it served in the pineapple (totally worth it to me), but I was given the option of having it served in a regular glass as an included beverage.
I’m raising my Resort Refillable Mug in a chEARs to all the delicious dining that’s in store for you, Angela. The
Disney Parks Blog has been full of news about the holiday offerings, and I love seeing all the tasty new treats that will be available. Did you see
this post about the Frozen 2 themed cupcakes and treats? Bring on the holidays!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
