Hi, Karen, and welcome to planDisney! Sounds like you have a very special visit to Happiest Place on Earth coming up soon! I'm so thrilled for you and your party people.
What a thoughtful idea to bring along a bit of birthday magic with you to add to the celebration! You'll be happy to know that Guests of
Disneyland Resort Hotels are allowed to bring decorations for their room, including banners and balloons. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who confirmed this, as well as recommended checking in with the hotel front desk upon your arrival for more details.
My family has spent a birthday or two at Disneyland and have our go-to Mickey Mouse birthday banner that adds to the fun. This is also the same banner we use to decorate at home, which brings a piece of that magic home with us year after year.
Since you're celebrating, Karen, make sure you grab yourself a complimentary celebratory button - and have the birthday person wear it proudly! They'll receive more "Happy Birthdays" than they can count! Buttons can be found at City Hall on Main Street in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure. You may also ask a Cast Member in any of the shops, too, and they'll usually be able to point you in the right direction to find yourself a celebratory button.
Well, Karen, I hope this has been helpful for you in your planning, and that you have the most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. But, more than that, I sincerely wish you the happiest of celebrations. If you have any other questions or would like some additional tips on celebrations in Disneyland, like where my favorite dining locations are for a special occasion and how to make reservations, don't hesitate to
reach out to me anytime! I'm happy to help and always love a party!
Warmest birthday wishes,
McCayla
