I have some knee trouble and walk with a cane. Standing in line is a concern. Any suggestions and where do I place my cane when on a ride?

    Hi there Jay,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you are having a Dapper day!

I’m thrilled to infinity & beyond that you have an upcoming vacation planned to The Happiest Place on Earth! You are sure to create unforgettable memories.

I’m sorry to hear about your knee trouble. The Disneyland Resort wants every Guest to enjoy their time at the parks and if standing in line is a concern for you with your injured knee, you may want to visit Guest Services and speak to a Cast Member to see if they have some guidance for you during your trip.

As far as attractions and your cane, you will be able to hand your cane to a Cast Member as you board each attraction. Then the Cast Member will hand to you once the attraction has ended.

The Disneyland Resort does have wheelchair and Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) to rent on a first-come, first-served basis.  Here is some information regarding attractions for Guests with Mobility Disabilities including those that allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs or ECVs, those that require Guests in ECVs to transfer to wheelchairs to board and those that require Guests to be mobile to enjoy.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!

    ~Lynette
