Hiya J Cathy! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question today.
Isn’t it exciting to know that your family will be off enjoying your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation in just a few short days? How lucky are you to be visiting during
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration, with so many special things to enjoy, including the EAResistible celebratory bites found at every turn! I highly recommend keeping an eye out for these limited-time treats so you can pick them up while they’re still around!
I had the pleasure of staying at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort just last month, and I absolutely loved having a full kitchen in the room. It was so convenient to be able to whip up some food before heading to the parks for the day. Now, the kitchens are stocked with utensils, pots and pans, plates, bowls, etc. While there is not usually a blender stored in your room, you can request one from the housekeeping team. However, this is all based on availability, so there is no guarantee that one will be available during your stay. I recommend requesting the blender as soon as you check in, so the team can try to find one for you as early as possible.
Speaking of checking in, have you heard about the super convenient
Direct-To-Room-Service available in the My Disney Experience app? This complimentary service allows you to skip the check-in counter and go directly to your room as soon as ready. How awesome is that? All you need to do is complete the Online Check-In process on your My Disney Experience app before your arrival. Then, on your scheduled check-in date, you will get real-time updates on the status of your room and will be notified as soon as it is ready for you! You can then view your room number, and even unlock the door, all from your My Disney Experience app! How great is that?!
I am sure you will have an absolutely wonderful time with your family on your upcoming vacation. There is so much that is new, exciting and maybe even a little unfamiliar at Walt Disney World, so please feel free to revisit us if you have any other questions!
Bye for now,
Diana
