Hi Kirsten! A very good friend of mine is looking for suggestions for things to do with her boys (age 10 and 2) while they are in disney late August. Since I have 2 girls I am not much help to her. Any idea's would be great! Thanks

    Hi Kim!

Nice to hear from you again!
I'm happy to share some ideas for you to pass along to your friend.

There are so many great activities for boys at Walt Disney World!
One of my favourite "extras," always a big hit with the boys, is the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. It's a perfect 'last evening of vacation' event to plan for the whole family to enjoy. It's reserved by calling (407) WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529). Not only does it include a reception with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, but there's also sweet treats, trivia, prizes, a viewing of Wishes like no other, and a surprise character at the end of the voyage. It's fantastic!

If they'll be visiting Downtown Disney, tell them to be sure to pop in to RIDEMAKERZ inside Team Mickey Athletic Club. Their older son would be able to build his own, customized, radio controlled car or truck. My son, who was 10 at the time, made one last year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

As far as fun dining for boys, there are a few non-Princess character meals the boys would surely enjoy. Consider The Garden Grill at Epcot's The Land Pavilion for dinner with Chip 'n Dale and Farmer Mickey. Another great family meal is Cape May Cafe for breakfast with Goofy, Donald and Minnie.

There are so many attractions around all four parks that even their little 2-year-old will be able to enjoy with the family. A little something special he may really enjoy is Disney Junior - Live on Stage at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Enchanting puppets on stage along with catchy tunes from favourite Disney Junior TV shows are sure to delight their little preschooler.

I just visited with my 2-year-old nephew and a few other attractions that captivated him included The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Dumbo The Flying Elephant and even Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition!

I hope this helps you make some recommendations to your friend Kim!
    Have a Magical day!
