Hi Kirsten, we will be visiting in May. Would like to try either Hacienda or San Angel at Epcot. Which do you recommend? Thanks!

    Hi Alix!

Thanks for visiting me again! It's always a pleasure to hear from returning Guests like yourself!

Hmmm ... well you've got a divided family here on that question. My kids love the atmosphere of dining in the San Angel Inn at Epcot's Mexico Pavilion. They just enjoy the dark, outdoor feel of the restaurant, watching the volcano, the moonlit sky, looking at the Aztec Temple and the boats floating by on the Gran Fiesta Tour.

Personally, I prefer the new La Hacienda de San Angel for its vibrant atmosphere, view of the World Showcase Lagoon, and delicious menu. There's not as much to look at here, however I think the menu is more 'kid friendly' and overall I enjoy the location as a location for family dining. Check out both restaurants' menus online via the links I've provided for you. At La Hacienda de San Angel, I love the Queso Fundido and the Parrillada platters which serve two. At San Angel Inn, my top picks are the Quesadilla Rebozadas and the Tostadas de Tinga.

Mmmm ... now I have a serious craving for some delicious Mexican food!

I hope this information is helpful to you Alix. Please feel free to write back any time if I may be of further assistance in your decision-making. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time planning your next trip to Walt Disney World!
