Hi Kirsten. I travel with a friend to WDW and she likes to go for 1 day to Universal Studios for the Harry Potter World. What is the best way to get there? Is there a bus or do I need to rent a car??? Thanx and have a magical day!

    Hi Edwin.

Your trip to Walt Disney World is now fast approaching! I hope you're starting to think about packing your bags because it will be here before you know it!

Disney Transportation transports Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort parks and hotels around to the Four Disney Parks, Downtown Disney and the two Disney Water Parks. Should you wish to visit other parts of Central Florida during your stay, your best option would be to arrange your own transportation. You can do so by requesting a taxi through your resort Concierge Cast Members outside your resort's main lobby entry area.

Alternatively, you may take Disney Transportation buses to Downtown Disney and obtain transportation from that point. There are also many private shuttle companies through which you may arrange transportation in advance. These include Mears and Travelynx and can be reserved online in advance of your stay if you wish.

Rental cars may also be arranged right on the WDW property. Rentals may be arranged through the Car Car Center which is located near the Magic Kingdom. Ask you resort hotel Concierge to help you arrange your rental and then receive complimentary shuttle service to the Car Care Center to pick up your vehicle.

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your vacation to Central Florida and The Walt Disney World Resort!
