Hi Kirsten, thanks for all the great help! Our kids are 5, 9 and 12. In the parks will we be able to bring a backpack on the rides. We won't have a stroller or anything. Thanks!

    Hi Alix!

    Great question!
One of the MANY great things at Walt Disney World is that pretty well all of the attractions accommodate you being able to bring your purse/backpack/day bag right into or onto the attraction with you!

Some attractions have a basket on the back of the seat in front of you, others have sufficient floor space for your bag to be at your feet. In cases where you bring a bag on the ride and there's 'movement' within the attraction itself, you'll be advised prior to commencement of any motion, to secure your loose articles. On such attractions as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Space, Splash & Big Thunder Mountains, Test Track and even Expedition Everest, I always put my leg through at least one of the bag straps before placing it at my feet so I know it won't go anywhere - and that's it! Be careful climbing out of Space Mountain with a purse attached to your leg though ... that's the only one I find to be a bit tricky and I feel like I should be in a Cirque du Soleil performance with my contortion skills as I twist and climb out! ;)

In any case that you're unsure of the level of turbulent motion on the attraction or how/where to secure a loose item, simply ask a Cast Member and they'll be happy to advise you!

Wishing you and your family a wonderfully Magical time at Walt Disney World Alix!
