Hi Suzanne!
It's so nice to hear from you! Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question.
Allergies can be a tricky subject to navigate with your little ones. Luckily, at Walt Disney World, allergies are taken very seriously and Cast Members at Quick Service, Snack Carts and Table Service Dining locations are generally quite knowledgeable regarding product information.
Unfortunately, the delicious Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar is not guaranteed to be nut free, due to the manufacturer producing other products on location which may contain nuts. There are plenty of alternatives available all around the parks though!
Prior to your visit, consider contacting a Cast Member at
Special Dietary Requests. In your email, advise of the allergy concerns you have and inquire about safe 'treats' around the parks. To reach a Special Diets Cast Member, email your note to
Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com You'll receive a reply email outlining some of the great options available for your son to enjoy. Be sure to also indicate your son's allergy on any Table Service Dining reservations that you make. The Chef will visit your table prior to placing your order to discuss the allergy and advise you of the safe choices to enjoy during your meal. In some cases, a special meal not described on the menu will be made specially for your son.
Additionally, you may choose to visit allergyfreemouse.com, a non-Disney 'fan' website. On this great site, you'll find detailed resources outlining all types of allergies and the alternative food options available around Walt Disney World. It's a great way to get a breakdown listed by allergy type.
I hope this information is helpful to you Suzanne.
Have a Magical day!
Kirsten
