Hi Kirsten. My family and I are planning our disney world trip and we plan on leaving the day before our reservations start because we are driving down(13-14 hours to arrive). What are the check in times and could we check in earlier.

    Hi Dean.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.

Check in times for most Walt Disney World Resorts are between 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
If you should arrive in the morning hours, or prior to check-in time for your resort, don't worry at all! Your whole family will be able to jump straight into all the fun right away.

If you know that you're likely to arrive earlier, be sure to process your Online Check-In on the Walt Disney World website prior to leaving home. This can be done as far as 10 days prior to arrival. Not only will this expedite your check-in process by having all your documentation ready for you, but you can also input the earliest time that you expect to be arriving on site. If previously unoccupied rooms happen to be available, adding this information to your file will make it more likely that your room may even be ready early for you.

Regardless of the time of day that you arrive on property, head straight to your Resort Hotel's lobby to check in. If your room happens to be ready, you'll be able to access it right away to put away your luggage etc.

If your resort room is not yet ready, the Cast Member will still issue your Key to The World Cards right away which include your Park Tickets and Disney Dining Plan if applicable. You can store all your luggage with the Bell Services team and then head straight off into the parks right away! You can request to be notified by text or phone call when your room has been assigned and is ready for you, or opt to wait until you return at the end of your day to settle in.

Please feel free to visit again if I can assist you further with questions about your upcoming vacation.
Wishing you and your family a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Dean!
