Hi Kirsten E :-) Is there much to do at DTD on NY's Eve? Do they set off fireworks at midnight or have anything extra special for families that don't want to brave the busy parks that night? Do the buses and boats run later on NY's Eve? Thanks,

    Hi Suzanne.

Thanks for visiting me at the Moms Panel with your great question!

There are indeed a few special events planned for Downtown Disney on New Year's Eve - and it's a great place to spend the evening as an alternative to the parks! There are no fireworks at Downtown Disney, however there are plenty of other fun & exciting things going on!

DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park hosts a special New Year's Eve Party from 8:00pm to 1:00am. Tickets to this special event may be purchased via the link I've attached and the party includes access to all DisneyQuest attractions, Meet-and-greets with Disney Characters, DJ dance parties with party favours, a casual meal and a New Year's Eve countdown and confetti drop.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes is also hosting its first New Year's Eve Party this year. For party pricing on packages with or without bowling, call (407) 938-PINS.

For more information on additional events planned for New Year's Eve at Downtown Disney, check out this great post on the Disney Parks Blog.

Disney Transportation buses will continue operation to transport Resort Guests back to all Disney Resort Hotels after the Downtown Disney parties have finished.

I hope this information helps you plan a perfectly Magical New Year's Eve Suzanne!
