Hi Heather!
A Disney Dream Cruise over the Christmas holidays sounds spectacular!
I've enjoyed several Disney Cruises myself now, and I always combine them with a stay at Walt Disney World. It's the perfect combination of family fun and relaxation, all rolled into one!
I recommend that you reserve your WDW stay as a separate booking, online through the Disney website. Currently, there's a
Free Dining Plan offered for arrivals up to and including December 20th, 2012. Since Christmas and New Years are popular times of year to visit Walt Disney World, I'd recommend that you visit soon and secure the resort of your choice while it's available. A simple $200 deposit will secure your package, with the ability to make changes later if you should choose to do so.
Once you've reserved the WDW portion of your stay, there are a few additional things you'll want to do. First, call Disney Cruise Line and have your Motor Coach Transportation, if applicable, modified to include transportation to/from your added Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Second, make your holiday dining reservations. Did you know that there's a brand new dining location opening in Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland? It's called
Be Our Guest - and it's going to be spectacular! The Disney Dining telephone lines will begin accepting reservations by phone on Monday, August 20th at 7am. Read all about it and view the menus on the
Disney Parks Blog. Call (407) WDW-DINE to make your family's holiday dining reservations.
If you'd like any additional advice or Resort recommendations to complement your Disney Cruise, please don't hesitate to write me back again. I'd love to hear from you and would be pleased to assist you further!
