Hi Kirsten! I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney. Grab a hammock and a tropical drink because we're heading to the most relaxing and laid-back spot at Walt Disney World Resort! I just returned from a recent stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, so I’ve got you covered with tips on how to make your visit the perfect island getaway!
Preferred rooms are primarily in the Martinique and Barbados villages. However, Buildings 41, 42, and 43 in Jamaica and Buildings 54, 55, and 56 in Aruba are also considered preferred. You would have had to book a preferred room at the time you secured your reservation in order to request these locations. Based upon your question, it sounds like you have booked a standard king room.
During my most recent stay, I felt like Jamaica was the perfect location and I made a note to myself to request it in the future! It is centrally located between both the
Disney Skyliner station and Old Port Royale, which is the hub of the resort and where you will find check-in, dining, shopping, and the main pool. With this in mind, Building 44 in Jamaica would be a great location, in my opinion. Trinidad Building 34 that you mentioned is also a great location and is not considered a preferred building. It is important to note that, while Cast Members do their best to accommodate room requests, they are not guaranteed and subject to availability.
Bonus tip: While you’re at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, don’t miss
Sebastian’s Bistro! This has become one of my new favorites in all of Walt Disney World Resort. The meal is served family-style and includes island-inspired dishes, such as marinated meats, fish, seasoned rice and beans, salad, bread, and one of the best desserts available at Walt Disney World! My son and I dined there a couple of weeks ago and already booked our next reservation!
Kirsten, get ready for a tropical getaway right in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any more questions, be sure to
send them my way. I’m here to help and love adding extra pixie dust to your Disney vacation planning!
Sending warm island vibes,
Casey
