Howdy Michael!
Thanks for dropping by planDisney with your question. It’s always exciting planning your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Of course, it sounds like you are like me and like to plan for the unexpected, because you never know what is going to happen these days to derail even the best-laid plans. I think that we can find the answer you are looking for, so let's get to it.
Alrighty, so you are interested in learning more about vacation travel protection and how much it is. I 100% agree with you that it is a smart decision to purchase travel insurance, especially when you are planning a big trip like this. I did some research and here is what I found. I found the FAQ for the
Travel Protection Plan, which has all of the details of what it covers. You can add this plan when you purchase your vacation on the
Walt Disney World website. You may also add the Travel Protection Plan to your reservation by calling
Walt Disney World Resort. It looks like the plan cost varies depending on the vacation package you choose, so I cannot determine the cost. I would recommend that you hop on the Walt Disney World website and walk through the package you would like to build. When you get towards the end, you should find the travel protection plan information you are looking for. As always, please be sure to review all the plan details to ensure it covers the potential kerfuffle you could incur.
One quick tip I would like to share with you as you plan your vacation would be to download the My Disney Experience app if you have not already done so. The app is a great way to quickly see all your vacation plans and make plans before and during your vacation. Before your arrival, you can book your advanced dining reservation and select your Lightning Lane Multi-Pass choices. While at the resorts and parks, you can also check wait times for rides, see parade and show times, and order food on the go.
Michael, I hope this helps with your vacation planning, and if, for any reason, your plans do get derailed, you have the peace of mind that everything will be taken care of so that you can have a magical vacation. Please stop back by if you have any further questions, and my fellow panelist will be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
