Hello Eboney! I am so glad that you continue to bring your questions to planDisney! Advanced planning is the key to a successful Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You are going to be well-prepared!
The Walt Disney World Resort offers
various forms of transportation for Guests as they travel around resort hotels and theme parks! The first form of transportation that Guests will encounter is
Disney's Magical Express! For Guests staying at Disney-owned resort hotels, Disney's Magical Express provides complimentary travel from Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resort Hotel and then return service to the airport at the conclusion of your visit! This complimentary service saves Guests a great deal of money!
As you travel about the Walt Disney World Resort, you will find bus, boat, Monorail, and Disney Skyliner transportation. All of this travel is complimentary! The
Monorail is ideal for Guests of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The Monorail links all of these resorts to Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT! The Monorail is also linked to the Ticket and Transportation Center.
Bus transportation is also available! Buses will get you anywhere you need to visit during your vacation. Bus transportation travels from every resort hotel to all four Disney theme parks, Disney Springs, and the two water parks!
Another form of getting around is via
water transportation! This is actually one of my favorite forms of transportation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Boat transportation is available at some resorts and will take you to some of the theme parks and Disney Springs. You can see which resorts offer boat transportation by visiting the website of each Disney Resort Hotel. All can be found on the Walt Disney World Resort website.
Finally, the newest addition to the Walt Disney World Resort transportation family is the
Disney Skyliner! This gondola system is literally a ride through the sky over the Walt Disney World Resort! The Skyliner is linked to Disney's Rivera Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. In addition to these resorts, the Skyliner gets Guests to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
Eboney, as you can see, Guests are provided with many ways to enjoy all that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer! Please feel free to ask our planDisney panelists for any specific travel itineraries. We're great at offering Guests some of the best tips on traveling from place to place at our Happy Place!
