What kind of toiletries can i pack

    Ahoy, Susan!

Welcome back to planDisney! When I saw your question, I had a feeling your countdown clock is getting pretty close to zero, and sure enough, you’ll be stepping onboard before you know it. Time to start turning that packing list into a reality!

When it comes to toiletries, Disney does a great job of covering the basics so you don’t have to pack like you’re preparing for a long expedition with Carl and Russell, and filling every inch of your suitcase. Depending on your itinerary, Disney even provides helpful packing suggestions along with a list of prohibited items, which is always worth a quick look before you zip up your bags.

If you’re like me, you want to keep things simple so you have plenty of room left over for souvenirs and a little extra magic to bring home. The good news is that your stateroom will already be stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, and even a hair dryer. My wife can be a little picky when it comes to her toiletries, but she’s given Disney’s products her full approval and has definitely wished she could pack a few bottles to bring home.

Of course, if anyone in your crew prefers specific brands or has allergies or sensitive skin, you are more than welcome to bring your own toiletries. Things like sunscreen, medications, or any specialty items are not provided, so you will want to make sure those make it into your suitcase.

Outside of toiletries, one item I always recommend bringing is magnetic hooks. With the exception of the Wonder and Magic, stateroom doors and walls are magnetic, and those hooks come in handy for hanging hats, lanyards, light bags, or anything else you want to keep organized. If you are sailing on the Magic or Wonder, only the stateroom doors are magnetic, so you can still put those hooks to good use.

I hope this helps you feel ready to pack smart and still leave room for all the fun extras you’ll bring back home. With a little planning, you’ll have everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Sea ya real soon as springtime magic carries us from one adventure to the next,
