Is there some kind of ticket you can purchase so you don't have to stand in lines ?

Hey there, Danyale! I'm so glad you've visited us here at planDisney with your question.

Before the shutdown of Walt Disney World last summer, there was a program called FastPass+ that allowed all Guests with Theme Park Tickets to select three attractions to make a FastPass+ reservation for. This basically held your spot in line virtually and when it was your time to return, you were able to bypass a majority of the line. This was a complimentary service to all ticket holders. However, since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer, the FastPass+ reservation service has been temporarily suspended. There has not been an announcement of when we can expect this program to return. When that announcement is made, you will be able to find all of the details on the Disney Parks Blog

Until then, all Guests must currently wait in the standby queue for all attractions. Because of this, I highly encourage you to arrive at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks before they open each morning. Being there early ensures you a great spot in line for your must-do attraction each day. My family and I typically try to be at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks 45 minutes prior to park opening. It really just sets the day up for success. We are always amazed at how many must-do's we are able to check off of our must-do list before lunchtime. In my opinion, the theme parks always feel the busiest to me starting in the early afternoon and that lasts until about dinnertime. I like to head back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I happen to be staying at for a nap or an afternoon swim. It's nice to relax after such an early and busy morning. Then in the evenings, when I feel like the parks are less crowded again, I like to head back to enjoy everything else I didn't get to do that morning. This way of enjoying the Walt Disney World Theme Parks has really worked for me since the re-opening. Also, Walt Disney World is currently limiting the number of Guests that visit each day to help promote physical distancing. Because of this, I feel like the lines aren't nearly as long for things as they used to be.

Danyale, even though the FastPass+ program is currently unavailable I know you are going to have a great time visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and ask me

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
