Hi Mindy, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
At Magic Kingdom Park, there are plenty of
holiday touches around the parks for those who aren’t attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While the Christmas parade, fireworks, and select shows are reserved for the party, the season is oh-so-bright and festive fun is everywhere!
One of the things my family adores is the Jingle Cruise. The Jungle Cruise Skippers have gone all out this Christmas, decking the halls (er…decking the river?), blinging out their boats, and adding some new holiday jokes to the classic cruise. We rode it three times because we could not get enough!
Magic Kingdom Park’s Christmas decorations are spectacular, and there are lots of great holiday photo ops near the tree and with Cinderella Castle, which is alight with its holiday dreamlights, in the background. The characters like to save their festive outfits for party time, but they’re still so much fun to meet. You can watch Elsa light up Cinderella Castle every night; last I checked, this magical show took place at 6:15 p.m., but check a Times Guide when you arrive to be sure. Along Main Street, U.S.A., the performers in the Main Street Trolley Show and the Dapper Dans have gorgeous Christmas costumes and sing some of your holiday favorites. Don’t forget to pick up some holiday-themed treats at the Main Street Confectionery!
Mindy, the
Disney Parks Blog has so much information about holiday activities in the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs, including all the details on the best sweet treats and seasonal fun. I know you are going to have the holliest, jolliest time rockin’ around the Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A. this year!
Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
Robyn
