Howdy Travis!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by to ask us this question. As a fellow RV user and lover, I always get excited when Guests ask us questions about camping at Fort Wilderness. Indeed, I got to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in my parents' RV in 2019, and we truly had such a lovely time. Being able to get the calm ambience of a campground while also being a short boat or bus ride away from exciting
Magic Kingdom Park is unbeatable. Also, I think my family will be adopting the term "stinky slinky" from now on!
Now, let's talk about the not-so-fun part! The rules for sewer stations at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are the same as for other RV campgrounds across the USA. What my family brought, and what is mainly used by RV users, is an elbow adapter which connects to different sizes of dump station inlets. You probably already have an elbow adaptor which should securely connect to the hose without any issues, but you can also find adaptors with various sizes just in case. Also, since most RV sites have a sewage hookup, most Guests use 20 feet hoses for their connections as the sewage is often towards the middle or in the back of your spot, so that is something to keep in mind. If you have any questions, however, you can always
contact a Cast Member via chat, email or phone, or ask the Cast Member when checking in!
Thankfully, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort also has many returning activities and offerings that will be much more magical than the sewage dump! First, the
Hood-Dee-Doo Musical Review is finally back at Pioneer Hall, and we could not be happier. This hilarious and swinging show is as amazing as its finger-lickin' feast, and it is an offering you will not want to miss! The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review is a very popular offering, so try to get a reservation as soon as you know your vacation dates. Second, check out
Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long for more music and tasty treats. Not only do you get to sing along to some traditional songs with your favourite chipmunks, but you even get to roast marshmallows and make smores, the perfect camping dessert! You may bring your own marshmallows and sticks, but smores' kits will also be available for purchase on-site.
I hope this was helpful, Travis, and that you and your Ohana will have the best vacation ever on your next trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your vacation, please don't hesitate to reach back out. You've got a friend in us!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
