Thanks for bringing your excellent question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stephen!
Recently Walt Disney World Resort updated their
Property Rules. Folding chairs are one of the things listed under prohibited items in the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. If you or someone in your traveling party has a mobile disability, I would encourage you to reach out to
Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com. When we vacationed with my mother-in-law, she realized after a day of walking in the Parks how tired she was, so we were able to
rent an ECV (or scooter as many Guests call it). They are available at the Park entrances, and although they are rented on a first-come, first served basis, we never had an issue. This made her trip so much more enjoyable!
Although you'll do a lot of walking on your trip this fall, make sure to plan time in your touring schedule for a few shows so you can rest your feet. I'm partial to
The Hall of Presidents,
Impressions de France (my husband's favorite napping place), and the
Festival of the Lion King.
Stephen, I noticed that you have planned your trip during the perfect time to experience the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! Find a bench, and enjoy the excellent eats at the Outdoor Kitchens! Here's hoping they bring back the Moroccan Hummus Fries this yEAR!
