What kind of pool floats can babies under 1 use at the resort pools? I’m getting conflicting answers about the Swimways brand spring float as that is our preferred baby float since they don’t fit in the Disney life jackets yet.

    Hi Joanna!

Welcome to planDisney! I have sweet memories of swimming at Disney Resort pools with my kids when they were babies. Now they’re older, and I’m still following them around the Resort pools and water parks at Disney World!

According to the Walt Disney World Property Rules, flotation devices must be Coast Guard-approved. It is important to note that it will be up to the lifeguard’s discretion. If your flotation device impedes the lifeguard from properly scanning the pool or if it creates an unsafe situation for other Guests, the lifeguards may ask you to remove the device from the pool.

I hope this helps with your decision, Joanna. In my situation, we usually held the babies until they were big enough to wear the life vests provided at the pools. We’ll be here to help you at planDisney if you have any further questions!
