Nebu, Welcome to planDisney!
I’m so glad you asked about the medical care onboard Disney Cruise Line. I know that when I first started cruising with my family, I wanted to ensure we could get the care we needed should an emergency arise.
Whether you have a hurt flipper or fin or are just feeling a little under the weather, the
Health Center onboard your Disney Ship will assess the situation and get you back to enjoying the fun in no time. A doctor and nurse are on call 24 hours a day should a medical emergency arise. They can prescribe medications, take X-rays, and perform limited laboratory tests. If necessary, they can arrange transportation to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Because onboard medical services are considered "care outside the United States," you will be responsible for paying any charges before debarkation. The Health Center will provide you with the paperwork you’ll need to process any claims through your health insurance provider. You can purchase the
Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan as part of the booking process. This travel insurance would help cover travel delays or medical emergencies on your vacation.
Nebu, I think a
Disney Cruise Line vacation is the best vacation for families because safety is their top priority. From the pre-departure assembly drill, lifeguards stationed at every pool, childproof locks on the verandah doors, and hand washing required before your kids enter the kids' clubs, these are just a few examples of how Disney Cruise Line keeps everyone safe on board so you can focus on what truly matters: spending time with your family.
If you have any additional questions, please stop by planDisney and ask. We are always delighted to help!
