Hi there, Anita! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question! Since you have a trip to Walt Disney World planned, and you are asking about coffee, I can tell that we are going to get along really well.
You have picked a great place to stay on your vacation.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is beautiful, quiet, and well-themed. Whether you stay in the quaint cottages of Alligator Bayou or the stately mansions of Magnolia Bend, you'll feel you've gone back in time to the Louisiana of yesteryear. You can take a stroll down the Sassagoula River to
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and treat yourself to an order of Mickey beignets (Yum!). Or maybe take a river cruise over to
Disney Springs for lunch at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and some shopping.
Now to the important part - the coffee. I typically like to think I am a nice person, but if I haven't had my coffee, I cannot be responsible for my actions. Port Orleans Riverside rooms have Cuisinart single-cup coffeemakers that use disc-shaped pods. There will be a supply of Joffrey's coffee pods in eco-friendly filters, along with tea, creamer, and various sweeteners. I have been known to ask the front desk for additional Joffrey's pods, and the Cast Members have always graciously accommodated me.
If you're looking for some fun nearby, give
River Roost a try. It's a family-friendly lounge located near the lobby in the main building of your resort. They have some really good appetizers and fun drinks. And if you're lucky, you'll catch
Yeeha Bob Jackson leading a sing-along. He puts on a great show, and it can get crowded, so try to get there early. I have heard that the second show of the evening tends to be less crowded.
Your trip is only about a week away, Anita, so it's time to get packing! I genuinely hope you have the most magical time (after you've had your coffee, of course). If you have any more questions, I hope we'll see you back here at planDisney!
Always Dreaming -
Elizabeth
