Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda! It’s nice to see you here again!
I stayed in a
Garden Wing room at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort on my birthday visit to Walt Disney World Resort last year. We attended
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and it was so nice to be able to walk back to our resort room after the party. I love the retro charm of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and I could sit in Contempo Café and watch the monorail come through all day long. So neat!
Linda, our Garden View room featured Cuisinart coffee makers that brew with flat coffee pods. I’ve never seen this kind of machine outside of the Walt Disney World Resort – the filter is a kind of flat pillow (like a tea bag) with coffee grounds inside. The room was stocked with Joffrey’s Coffee pods and tea bags, along with packs of sugar, creamer, stir sticks and napkins. I always purchase a small carton of milk at the resort Quick-Service location to pour into coffee and tea I make in my room; there are dorm-sized refrigerators in all Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms to store cold items.
I hope that helps, Linda. I have to tell you, we loved our brunch at
The Wave…of American Flavors in Disney's Contemporary Resort, and I thought it was a great value. If you’re looking for dining reservations during your stay, I think it’s a hidden gem. Also, don’t miss the cupcakes at
Contempo Café – not only do they change out the flavors seasonally, but they’re beautifully themed creations that are almost too pretty to eat!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
