Do you have any kind of bus service from airport to hotel upon arrival? How does a family plan if car seat is needed?

Hello, friend. Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing up this important question. Going to Disneyland sounds like all magic and pixie dust until you have to consider public transportation and a car seat. I’ve been on many trips with a car seat in tow, and while it may be difficult to travel with, it gives you the peace of mind knowing it’s the equipment that will keep your kids safe.

There are six airports in the Southern California area you could fly into, though the most common for Disneyland are Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Airport (SNA), and Long Beach Airport (LGB). The quickest and most reliable option is probably Karmel Connect, which is listed on the Disneyland website as a partner that provides transportation from all three of these airports to the Disneyland Resort. You can book transportation in a van or sedan, and install your own car seat for the ride. There are also options to rent a car seat if you want to leave yours at home.

Lyft is another Disney partner that also allows you to install your own car seat. I just looked up a ride at about 4:00 pm on a Thursday, and the cost for a Lyft from SNA to the Disneyland Hotel was between $45 and $65, depending on the size of the vehicle you need. Obviously, prices change drastically based on a myriad of factors, but that gives you a bit of an idea.

There are various bus lines from the local airports listed on the Disneyland website. Orange County Transit Authority (OCTA) does not require car seats and is an inexpensive option, though it may not be as efficient in terms of travel time as the options listed above.

Well, friend, I hope this brief overview points you in a direction that meets your needs. I’m so excited for your trip, especially since you’ll be arriving during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. There is no better way to get in the holiday spirit than visiting Disneyland Resort. I hope your planning goes smoothly from here on out, and your trip is full of the magic that only Disneyland can deliver. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to bring them to me and my pals at planDisney.

I hope you have a magical day!
