Hi, Kimberly! Staying at CBR in Oct. My parents (their 1st visit), husband and 1 yo son are all going. I booked std. rms. in Jam. The res. says std. rm type, pkg type pirate-water view (both rms). Think pirate will be too much theming for an older couple?

The good news is that it seems that you were given an upgrade! Congratulations.

In fact, you have two upgrades with the pirate room AND the water view and gone from the least expensive to the most expensive rooms at CBR. Ahoy!

Young or young-at-heart guests will enjoy the pirate rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort. My mother-in-law wished they had booked a pirate room when we were on vacation there in January.

We absolutely loved our pirate room and it did not seem juvenile at all. In fact, I thought the pirate rooms were a bit more sophisticated than the standard rooms due to the dark woods.

Just remember that the pirate rooms are in Trinidad South so your walk to the main pool will be a bit farther. However, it's a pretty walk and you also have the option of using the internal bus. We found the bus stop very convenient to our room in Trinidad South. Enjoy.
