Hi Kimberly, You stated in one of your answers that you rented a pt cruiser " Driving our rental car (a cute PT cruiser which cost $79 for 7 days)" Where did you find that car for that price? We'll be there 9/25 - 10-2 and am finding 300 +

    Yes, it's true.

We did rent a vehicle for that rate in June last year. It was through the National rental car web site and I had found an awesome discount code. I like the National website because you can mix discount and coupon codes together. For example, a AAA discount with a coupon.

I also search for new codes right up to the day of our arrival. The National website makes it easy to modify a reservation with a new discount.

My strategy is to search "rental car discount code" and then start plugging in all codes that I find. It's time-consuming but can save a lot of money.

I have not found any codes as fabulous as the savings we received in June 2008. I wish you lots of savings!
