Hi Kimberly. I see you recommended the 50's Prime Time restaurant at Hollywood Studios on another post. Is this a good choice for kids (son's age 9 & 11). We have never been there. Thanks!

This would be a great choice for your family!

50's Prime Time Cafe not only has a great menu with lots of kid-friendly choices (and the adult food is very good too!) but the atmosphere is truly unique.

Step inside the restaurant and you are immediately back in the 1950s as you'll be facing "Mom's Kitchen" when you check in. While you wait for your table, enjoy the lobby with furniture and TVs that your kids are sure not to recognize. It'll help them appreciate the way things are now!

Inside this restaurant, everyone is family and even adults are kids. Mom is in the kitchen cooking and your servers might be a relative (aunt, uncle or cousin). Your Cousin will take great care in making you feel right at home. Once seated, you'll have to set your own table, watch your elbows on the table and mind your manners.

Once, my brother-in-law had to stand in a corner much to my son's delight! The dessert menu is presented via a View-Master but if you haven't finished your meal, you'll be surprised to see the dessert you receive before the real one is brought out. It's all fun and games with comfort food.

There will also be antics going on at other tables so it's entertaining to watch even when your own cousin leaves to fill drink orders, take more orders, etc. You may find yourself watching a guest sing a song!

I think your boys are a perfect age to enjoy the antics and jokes at this restaurant. Each table area looks like an old-fashioned kitchen and many have black and white TVs playing nearby.

Our family will be enjoying the 50's Prime Time Cafe on Father's Day!
