Hi Kimberly. I have read you are a fan of POFQ. We are going in June 09' as grand gathering. Five adults and 5 kids (ages 2-9 two girls and 3 boys). We r currently booked at POFQ, but am second guessing for CBR. What would you do?

If the majority of the kids are younger or if you have anyone with mobility issues, I might stay with Port Orleans French Quarter. This is a great place for a family gathering.

POFQ is delightful. The charming "streets" and quaint size make this resort extremely accessible for families traveling together. Did I mention the beignets are divine?! It's a whimsical resort with cobblestone walkways and Mardi Gras decor. Rooms are 315 sq. ft.

The Sassagoula Riverboat to Downtown Disney is a fun adventure for the whole family.

For a June visit, a relaxing and fun pool is a necessity. On our trip last June, we spent many afternoons at the resort pool.

There are many reasons to choose CBR and for a June visit, the Caribbean Beach Resort offers many warm weather activities. Boating and beaches!

    Why CBR over POFQ?

Our family stayed at CBR in September and we were delighted with the new pool area (except for the lack of shade). The pool has a zero entry area for the younger kids that like to wade. The pirate ship water play area was a huge hit with our 8 year old son. He spent a lot of time climbing and sliding on the structure as well as waiting for the bucket to pour water on kids wanting to get drenched! Ahoy!

In addition the rooms are being transformed into Finding Nemo or Pirate themes.

The food court at CBR seems less chaotic.

Rooms at CBR are larger at 340 sq. ft.

The beach areas have playgrounds and relaxing hammocks. I truly love CBR as well. I haven't been back to POFQ now that my son is entertained by a pool with an awesome slide. We have opted to spend two nights at CBR again in January.

I would consider CBR for the renovated and larger rooms, new pool area and tropical setting.
