Hi Kimberly! Pls help! I was told by Lynn L. that NO peak-season dining surcharge exists, but I see that you've answered that it DOES for DDP. Please let me know if character buffets etc. also have a surcharge in peak season &how much? Very confused no

Peak season dining surcharges occur ONLY at fixed price restaurants. If you order off of a menu, then there is no surcharge. If it's a pay one price such as a character meal, then there are surcharges for peak seasons.

It works out to roughly an additional $4 per person plus tax for adults and $2 per person plus tax for ages 3-9.

    Peak seasons are:
    February 17-26, 2011
    March 11 - April 30, 2011
    June 3 - August 13, 2011
    December 21-31, 2011

If you are dining with the Disney Dining Plan during these dates, your plan cost more than it would for non-peak seasons. You will not "owe" the extra per person cost. You already paid for it when purchasing the Disney Dining Plan. Only the standard Disney Dining Plan costs extra during these dates. It is the same price all year for the quick service, deluxe and premium plans.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion. A great resource is www.disneyfoodblog.com. Click on Disney Dining Plan from the home page to get all prices!

Let me know if I can help any further.
