Kimberly - I grew up In Rochester too! Two ?s about the GF - how do you request a child-sized robe? Are pool toys allowed in either pool? Panel has been so much help in 1st trip planning - thank you!

Hi Diane! So glad to hear from a Rochester native!!

I'm pretty sure that child size robes are no longer available. At least they have not been in the standard rooms for a couple of years. Also, it's been a long time since I've seen them for sale. Oh, they were so cute though. We had bought one for my son when he was younger and every night when he snuggled in it, I felt like we were back at the Grand Floridian. When they were available, there was usually at least one hanging in the closet near the adult robes. I do recall requesting one from Housekeeping as well.

The robes that were in use then were much more plush. I have one that my dear hubby gave me as a gift. I'm such a GF fan. I'm even snuggled in a Grand Floridian throw blanket right now. Another gift from my Prince Charming.

Okay back to the child robes. I got a little lost in GF nostalgia! LOL I would check with Housekeeping upon your arrival.

Pool toys are allowed in the beach pool but not on the slide. There are no posted rules against pool toys. At various times I have seen the pool filled with kids and no toys in sight or children with noodles, beach balls and such. Small size pool toys are sold in some of the gift shops. I believe we saw kids with noodles in the courtyard pool. Usually we do not see many pool toys in use at the resorts as guests do not think to pack them and they are not widely available around WDW.

If you have any more GF or WDW questions, just let me know. I hope your first trip is magical and memorable!
