Hi there Suzanne!
The best way to handle special diets at a character or other table-service meal is to be sure to add any common food allergy or intolerance issues to your online advanced dining reservation
or by calling (407) WDW-DINE/ (407) 939-3463 and speaking directly to a cast member so that this can be properly noted.
Guests with the below list of concerns should
e-mail SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to arrival:
- Allergy or intolerance not listed under Common Food Allergies on this website.
- PKU
- Metabolic disorders
- A single guest with multiple allergies/intolerances or multiple guests with allergies/intolerances within the same party.
Character meals that are
buffets may require a little extra planning on your part and you should ask to speak with a chef or a manager upon arrival to
discuss your little one's dietary needs. Although the chef can
walk you through the buffet and indicate what can be eaten based on the allergy, there is always the potential
for cross-contact by other guests since these are self-serve buffets. Therefore you
may wish to check out non-buffet character meal options.
Thanks
for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and
feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your
trip!
