Hi Kim, We are planning a trip to Disney in November. Can you recommend a character breakfast. Our daughters are 8 and 3. Thanks.

    Hi Lisa,
The "Once Upon A Time" breakfast is the most coveted meal. One reason is that Cinderella is more difficult to find for pictures and autographs.

Breakfast is the least expensive meal at the castle and it’s a magical way to start a new day. The breakfast is pre-plated, but the atmosphere and characters are wonderful.

If I had daughters, this would be my first stop. You’ll notice that many girls dress up as their favorite princess for this meal. It’s truly a royal affair.

If you arrive the podium early, request a window seat. This will give you a lovely view of Fantasyland. This is one of our favorite spots in all of WDW. Another strategy would be to book the last seating available.

Upon entering the lobby, you will pose for a picture with Cinderella. You will be given this keepsake photo before departing to enjoy the rest of the Kingdom. Your girls will be get souvenir wands which they’ll be asked to wave during the meal. Many royal princesses (and some princes) will visit your table.

Now, I must tell you that obtaining this reservation will require Mom to be as fast dialing the phone as the Fairy Godmother is waving her wand.

On exactly 180 days prior to your desired dining day, you must call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) to secure your Advance Dining Reservation. Begin calling a few minutes before 7:00a.m. Eastern time. Keep hitting re-dial when you hear a busy signal. Repeat after me, “my girls are princesses” when you begin to feel frustrated. As soon as you get through, state Cinderella’s Royal Table first available and your party size.

If you are not successful, remember cancellations do occur. Keep trying every few days as cancellations do occur for a variety of reasons. Note that this meal is pre-paid and there is a 24-hour cancellation policy in order to get a refund.

It’ll be worth it when you are sitting in the castle with the light streaming through the windows and your girls are smiling brighter than the sun.
