Hi Kim D!! Love your profile video, it was wonderful! My daughter is almost nine and we are wondering what activities she might like to do outside of the parks? Thanks for the help!

Hi there Suzanne! One thing that often surprises Walt Disney World vacationers is the availability of all the fun activities outside of the theme parks!

My family and I love to rent a boat and take to the water on one of the many lakes on Disney resort property for some calm relaxation in the sun! Just be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen prior to your sailing and reapply if you'll be out on the water for awhile.

Downtown Disney has so much shopping and entertainment, that it's easy to spend one full vacation day at this location just taking it all in! Characters-in-Flight was the highlight of a recent trip for my niece and I last summer and the view was absolutely breathtaking.

For your daughter, there are several children's activities offered at the Disney Resorts even if you aren't a guest staying on property! My little girl has really enjoyed the Wonderland Tea Party and The Pirate Adventure. Simply check out the links above to make a reservation for one of this special experiences.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip! May your Disney vacation be practically perfect in every way!
