Kim L -driving to DW in Aug w/ DH and DS3. Using morning EMH (didn't know better when I made ADRs)Do you recommend just driving to the parks instead of using busses? Will leave in afternoon for naps and then have ADRs at resorts most nights. Thnx

I absolutely recommend driving to the parks. The exception would be if you are staying at a resort that provides non-bus transportation. For example, the monorail from the Grand Floridian is very convenient and the boat to Hollywood Studios from the Epcot resorts is pleasant.

For morning Extra Magic Hour, the parks will begin to feel crowded by lunch time. If you have park hoppers, I would visit a non-EMH park in the evening after your afternoon rest and/or dinner.

We find parking very convenient at the parks. However, to visit the Magic Kingdom you will need to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, you will monorail or take the ferry boat to the MK's entrance. While the buses do drop off guests near the MK entrance, I still find it easier to travel around WDW via car. You could certainly try taking the bus and see if it works for your family.
