Do the kids (4 yrs old) need a magic band too or just mom and dad?

Hi there, Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney! I am so glad to see you and chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

MagicBands are the ultimate Walt Disney World vacation accessory. They give you the freedom to experience a truly hands-free trip! Especially if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will be able to use it as your Resort Hotel Room key, Theme Park Ticket, and Credit Card for purchases! However, they are not required for anyone. These same benefits are available when using an Admission Card. If you would rather not have your little ones wear a MagicBand, you can request Admission Cards for them at any Ticket Window or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. You may also link an admission card or MagicBand to their account before your trip via your My Disney Experience account! When my kids were younger, I would keep their MagicBands in my bag to use for Theme Park entry and tuck them away during our adventures! Now that they are older, my kids love picking out a special MagicBand for each trip and looking back on old ones as mementos.

Jennifer, I hope that this information helps you make those last-minute plans and touches to your vacation! Make sure that you stop by the Experience Updates pages if you haven’t already. There, you will see descriptions of all the newest policies and procedures in place to safeguard the health and well-being of all Guests and Cast Members during the time at Walt Disney World. Happy travel, and please do return to see us again soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Clara
