when My kids were younger, I was able to send them something directly from Disney that was addressed to them, about the parks and things to do. Now that I am going with my grandchildren, do you still have such a thing?

Hi Terri! Greetings from a fellow New Yorker! I'm so excited to help you today.

I think one of the most beautiful things about Walt Disney World Resort is that while time passes and our families grow, we can always go back to Walt Disney World to rediscover the magic and build new memories together as a family. I had the pleasure of visiting with my parents in 2021, more than 20 years since our last visit, and my family absolutely loved it. In fact, they have another stay coming up next month, just the two of them. So while I may be just a LITTLE jealous not to be going with them, It just goes to show that no matter how much time passes or how "grown-up" you are, there is always that inner child in you just waiting to come out. And what better place to embrace that child-like wonder than Walt Disney World?

While Walt Disney World no longer sends out printed planning guides and brochures, my friend and fellow planDisney Panelist, Ashley, recently shared some incredible print-at-home guides available through the Walt Disney World Website. These are super simple to print out, and you can make as many copies as you need. She also shared the fabulous idea of getting them printed in a large poster size format at a local print shop. This way, the kids can lay it out on the table and get a nice big view of what's to come! You can even give them different colored magic markers to circle all of their "must-do" experiences and write out little notes. Then, you can keep the marked-up map as a keepsake to share with them when they are all grown up. I've linked these printable guides below for you.

    Disney's Animal Kingdom

There are also many excellent resources are available online for you to explore with your grandkids to get them excited for their trip. First, you can visit the Walt Disney World Website, which has so much information to help you plan. I would recommend sitting down by the computer with the kids and exploring the Things to Do section that breaks down all the attractions, activities, character experiences, shows, and so much more available throughout the parks. Then, head over to shopDisney and help the kids pick out a fun Magic Band, pair of ears, or hat to wear during your vacation. I'm sure they will have such a blast getting involved in planning their special trip with you!

Terri, I am so excited for you to go on this incredible vacation with your family and experience the magic through the eyes of your beautiful grandchildren. Please stop by again with any other vacation planning questions you may have.

    Have a magical day!
