Do kids under 3 years old require lightning lane multi passes? We are a party of 6 and 1 being a 2 year old.

    Welcome, Victor!

Visiting the Disneyland Resort with a toddler in tow is such a special experience, and it's wonderful that you are thinking ahead to make the day as smooth...and magical...as possible for your party. There is nothing quite like watching a little Mouseketeer get their first hug from Mickey or wave to their favorite princess. While my kids are now tweens, I still remember those moments vividly, which are now life-long memories in my book!

With a party of six, it's great to get clarity on Lightning Lane logistics before you arrive so you can just sit back and enjoy the magic together. Since children under the age of 3 do not require a theme park ticket, they also do not require a Lightning Lane Multi Pass. They can be along for the ride without having to book their own Lightning Lanes. I hope this is reassuring news for you, Victor! Of course, some attractions do have a height requirement, which is something to consider in your planning, but this information is also readily available at your fingertips. When you head into the Disneyland App, tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "Book at Lightning Lane". On the Tip Board, you will see the list of attractions, and directly underneath the attraction name, you can see what the height requirement is, if any. If you're curious if a particular attraction is appropriate for your kiddo, you can tap into the attraction itself to get a bit more information in the "Thrill Type" section. This will let you know if it's loud, slow, has big drops, and more.

One of my absolute favorite perks of adding Lightning Lane Multi Pass to our tickets is the unlimited digital downloads of any Disney PhotoPass photos taken that day. What a great way to capture the magic! PhotoPass photographers are easy to spot, but you can also find their locations in the app by pulling up the park map and tapping the "PhotoPass" filter along the top. Additionally, you will have access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses. These are fun filters and animations that you can add to photos right from your own phone. My kids get a kick out of these, and we often use this feature when waiting in queues or for shows and parades. To access the lenses, head to the three-line icon in the bottom navigation bar of the app and scroll down to the Disney PhotoPass section. There are even some special filters that are only accessible in certain areas of the park, so there are always a few surprises!

Victor, I hope we've set up your crew for a truly unforgettable day in the magic. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
