Hi there, Kimberly!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you found us while considering your first Walt Disney World Resort or Disney Cruise Line vacation! I love that you are taking time to consider both options and hopefully I can give you some information that may aid in your decision making!
First, I can guarantee you that you can’t – and won’t – go wrong with either vacation! With both you will make memories that will last a lifetime and your little ones are at the perfect ages to love everything magical about a Disney vacation. And YOU will love experiencing it alongside them; there is something truly special when you experience a Disney vacation with your littles.
A few key differences that I want to bring up – while both options can be as laid back and relaxing or as busy as you want, naturally a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is likely to be busier because you will want to do it ALL! Between the theme parks, character meals…there is just so much to do! You’ll want to prepare yourselves for long and full days to get it all in! On a Disney Cruise Line vacation, there are non-stop activities and entertainment, but you can do as much or as little as you want, and you will still have a great experience onboard. One of my family’s favorite things about cruising with Captain Mickey is that
so much is included with your reservation – food, entertainment, Youth Clubs, character greetings and more!
Another option would be a
Land and Sea vacation – spend a couple days at the theme parks followed by a three- or four-night adventure at sea! You will get the best of both worlds and the opportunity to experience it all!
