Ahoy Kimberly!
Thanks for cruising by the Moms Panel with your question!
Trying to choose between the Disney Cruise Line ships is like trying to pick a favorite child! All the ships are beautiful and elegant, and all have excellent Disney personalized service. All have complimentary, themed kids' clubs, Broadway-style stage shows and incredible dining. Sounds like your choice comes down to whether or not to pay a little extra for your kids to enjoy the
AquaDuck water slide on the Disney Dream. No matter which cruise you choose, your kids will certainly
not be disappointed!
Our first Disney Cruise Line voyage was aboard the
Disney Wonder. We loved the ship, and the whole family had a great time. At the time, my kids were little, and a big water slide would have overwhelmed them. When we cruised later on the Dream, they were older and more adventurous. I couldn't keep them off of the AquaDuck! If your little cruisers are thrill seekers (and meet the height requirement of 42"), that might be a valid reason to consider the Disney Dream.
Since this will be your first cruise, your kids are sure to be thrilled with whichever ship you choose! And remember, if you choose to sail on the Disney Wonder now, you can always visit the Future Cruise Sales Desk to book a future voyage on the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy!
Happy planning! Please come back and let me know if you have any more questions - I'm glad to help!
