Is the kids I village pool slide back open? Will it be open by end of February?

Hi there, Kaley! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us.

There are all sorts of things to consider as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation. Which rides are to prioritize? Which snacks to seek out? Where can you find the awesome Mickey ears you saw on social media? And perhaps the most important question: what is the pool situation at my hotel?

I chatted with a friendly Cast Member, and they told me that the slide at Samawati Springs Pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village should be open to guests at this time. Availability is always subject to change, though, so if the slide happens to be closed during your stay, remember that you can enjoy the water slide at the Uzima Springs Pool located at the Animal Kingdom Lodge’s main building.

If you have any other specific questions about resort amenities and recreation, you can call the Non-Reservation Support line to talk with a Cast Member.

Along with its amazing pool areas and some of the best dining in all of Walt Disney World, Animal Kingdom Lodge offers some other truly unique activities. Not only can you spot over 30 species of African wildlife out on the hotel’s savanna, but Starlight Safari allows guests to get a close-up look from the back of an open-air vehicle. It’s a popular activity, so you’ll definitely want to make reservations.

I hope this information helps with your vacation planning, Kaley. Pop back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
