Ahoy there, Luisa! Thanks for sailing our way here at planDisney with your question about vaccination requirements.
As the father of a child under 5, seeing the vaccines become available was a "wish upon a star" moment for me and my family! We can't wait to make up for all the lost time, and it's just a matter of time before our little sailor is racking up more
Castaway Club-qualifying cruises! When it comes to requirements for sailing for our littlest castaways, as of this writing,
we're still waiting for an update to the "Know Before You Go" information. The most recent update came on June 15th, just before the vaccines were being made available to kids 6 months to 4 years old. I see that you're planning on sailing at the end of August, though - and while I have absolutely no way of knowing, judging by when updates were made during other age groups' vaccine rollouts, I'd expect there to be an update soon.
Like everything from
Onboard Gifts availability to
Pirate Night, and everything in-between, any policies are subject to change so I always suggest getting the official word straight from the Captain and checking
"Your Guide to Updated Experiences" frequently on the Disney Cruise Line website! It's the only source I trust for information as important as this!
Before long, I hope the halls of the Disney Cruise Line Oceaneer's Club, "it's a small world" Nursery!, and the new spaces just for little castaways on the
Disney Wish are filled with the laughter - and let's be honest, joyful screams - of the kiddos!
I know that "we'll see" is a difficult heading to set your compass to, Luisa, but I'm hopeful that in the near future that will be a worthwhile wait as we all embark on the next phase of
Disney Cruise Line's Return to Sailing. Thank you so much for your question, and if any others surface, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
