My kids have unusual names. Any place to get personalized gifts at Disney?

    Hi Suzanne:

I consider myself a baby name geek, and my kids have fairly unusual names. In fact, neither me, my husband, nor my kids can find our names on pre-made souvenirs. Thankfully, you have options to get personalized gifts at Walt Disney World.

My favorite personalized gifts at Disney World are leather bracelets that can be inscribed by a Cast Member within minutes with any reasonably sized name. I've seen these bracelets in a couple of different locations in Magic Kingdom (including the gift shop outside of Pirates of the Caribbean), Animal Kingdom, and at Epcot (at the Canada Pavilion in World Showcase).

Also check out Disney's Design-A-Tee in Downtown Disney where you can create your own tee-shirts with Disney character art and using your own words or names.

You can also get names embroidered on Mickey ears at Downtown Disney as well as at Sir Mickey's in the Magic Kingdom. If you want to arrange the ears prior to your trip, you can check out the ear hats for sale on the Disney Store online, many of which can be personalized.

Alternatively, you can contact the Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts online or at (407) WDW-GIFT or (407) 939-4438. They have a number of gift baskets featuring Mickey Mouse Ear hats, which the Dream Makers can have embroidered if they are provided with advanced notice.

    Enjoy your vacation.
