I have 5 kids, and am trying to budget for our March trip. This year, I want to avoid the "Mommy, please can I have this" part of our trip so I would like to purchase gift cards ahead of time. What amounts do you suggest for kids ages, 2, 4, 8, 1

    Hi Janora,

This is one topic that every parent goes through!  Your gift card idea is a great approach!

I think that your 8yr old and 4 yr old would do well with a gift card.  For the 1yr old and 2 yr old, -they are really young for gift cards.

Base the gift card on your budget and what you are comfortable with them spending.

If they do chores or help around the house any allowance could be put toward their gift cards as well.

    Have a magical vacation!
