Kids 14, 10 & 8 are super excited about seeing anything at WDW - we are staying at the Contemporary resort. Have booked Chef Mickey & Cinderella. Downtown Disney sounds interesting - is that a good place to eat at night & is it easily accessibl

    Hi Narelle!

How can you not be excited?  You are going to Disney World!  Downtown Disney is a wonderful place to spend an evening.  It has outstanding shopping and dining options, including casual, well-themed venues such as Rainforest Cafe and TRex, and more upscale, romantic spots including Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room.  There is also fabulous Italian food at Portobello, incredibly fresh seafood at Fulton's Crab House and a great Irish Pub (with fantastic food), Raglan Road.  These are just a few of my favorites, and not a comprehensive list of all the excellent dining experiences your family can enjoy "Downtown."  As for getting to and from Downtown Disney from the Contemporary Resort, it's a snap.  Simply hop on a bus labelled "Downtown Disney" from the bus stop at your resort and you'll be on your way.  To return, you will need to catch a bus back from one of the stops at Downtown Disney.  Buses run approximately every 20 minutes in both directions.

    Have a magical trip!
